maybe fasting is the best way to lose weight, it's just so hard to resist your urges to eat it becomes this automatic problem you have where you find yourself fighting against your own body to control eating habits. Anyone have any tips?
Maybe fasting is the best way to lose weight...
Eat less portions.
Don't try to fast, it just leads to binges.
but I want to, I want to try for at least 2-3 days if I go back to eating at all without first disciplining myself it'll be a wasted effort
I've just been smoking tons of weed and vaping like a fucking idiot. No appetite all day. I eat at like 3pm a snack of some sort and a meal of any kind at maybe 8. Lost around ten pounds last week, probably have a tapeworm. Also eat clementines. 30 cal apiece and good as fuck. That's my 8pm sometimes. 1 pound, sometimes fucking 2 pounds. Go wild. Strawberries too.
I can't smoke weed and not want to empty my fridge afterwards so that's a big no to weed for awhile. wtf is a clementine?
in my experience of losing weight, upping my exercise helps me eat less. When I was getting home in the afternoon and would eat, instead I would go for a run or something, then come back, shower, and afterwards i wasnt hungry.
Also just change what you eat to a less calorie intense version. You have full sugar soda? Change to sugar free. You like to eat potato chips? Eat some unbuttered popcorn instead.
Fasting can be effective, but if you don't have the self control to stop eating yourself, you definitely dont have the discipline to fast correctly. When you find yourself reaching for a snack, strap on your shoes and go for a walk instead. You get the double benefit.
hunger comes in waves. if you eat at the same time every day, you get hungry at the same time every day. drink a lot of water and wait for the hunger to pass.
and have some fucking self-control you will-less fat fuck
>Eat less portions.
The easy way to do this is to begin by garnishing the edge of your plate with useless crap. If your brain sees "empty plate space" at the beginning of a meal, it believes that you aren't getting the amount of food you're supposed to. Garnishes fill up that space and trick your brain. The second thing you can do is to use smaller plates. Switch from 10" dinner plates to 8" plates. It works the same with bowls. A wide but shallow bowl makes it look like you have a fuckload of soup or cereal when you really don't.
Something you can try is to cut up meats into smaller bits. A 4"x4" steak by itself doesn't look too impressive but if you slice it into multiple 1/4" strips and then lay them out, it looks like more.
Probably the biggest thing is to reduce your food intake over several weeks. This gives your stomach time to shrink to a "normal" size so that eating less food actually makes you feel full. You can also help by drinking plenty of water with your meal. The theory behind this is the same as eating a hearty soup. The food will stay in your stomach longer and you feel full longer.
that sounds like a good idea, if I find myself hungry I'll most likely go for a hike instead. Idunno if it will actually make me less hungry but it might take my mind off eating for awhile
You fat fucking pussy, you can't control your fat pig urges to stuff your belly with bullshit. You jerk your tiny pecker to degenerate porn. You're a gross, weak, dirty animal and you should just kill yourself.
when you are hot and sweaty as fuck, all you really want is a drink, not something to eat, you polish off a shitload of water and you wont feel hungry for awhile. With your meals have more vegetables and protein with less carbs
You have a sandwich? fuck that off and have cold meat and salad. You eat potatoes with dinner? Nope, more vegetables instead. Honestly simple meals with meat and vegetables are good for you, easy to make, and will help you lose weight and feel less hungry.
Any carbs you do have should be low GI ones that you eat in the morning, and even then you shouldnt be having too many. Get your energy from protein instead.
if I succeed in my fasting lowering food portions was something I also planned on doing.
food is fuel.
it's over....
before you try fasting, try eating smaller portions and stuff for awhile first. Starting off a diet by fasting is the dumbest thing you can do. For a start it will shock your body which is used to a high calorie diet, and rather than losing any fat, your body will immediately start eating your muscle. The less muscle you have, the less energy you need to keep you going, hence why your body breaks that down first if you go into extreme calorie deficit.
Also as someone else said, it leads to binging, so not only will you not lose fat, you'll gorge yourself afterwards and just put more weight on.
>You have full sugar soda? Change to sugar free.
As a diabetic, I was warned about this by my dietician. The problem is that you drink soft drinks and your body expects a corresponding sugar high. Diet drinks give you the sweet flavor but without the sugar high so your body doesn't get the short term energy boost its expecting which can lead to some people feeling more tired. Honestly, the best thing is to treat soft drinks like the candy they are and only drink them as a once in a while treat.
>You like to eat potato chips? Eat some unbuttered popcorn instead.
Or sunflower seeds or mixed nuts. For popcorn, I find hot air poppers too bland so I bought one of pic related. I use canola oil instead of the nuclear orange palm oil for popping and season with powdered sea salt and vinegar in a spray bottle.
thats probably best, but if he has a habit of drinking soda, then its not so much about the sugar high than it is about the habit of picking up a soda and drinking it.
And as a diabetic things are definitely a bit different for you.
Are you boogie 1488
if you can make it past 3 days, the hunger pangs go away
make sure you take electrolyte supplements, eating handfuls of salt helps a lot in the first 72 hours
also you need to adjust your mindset. food is fuel for your body, nothing more.
good luck my friend. dont listen to the haters, fasting can be a powerful tool in your weight loss journey
I've actually tried several times and I feel like I'm becoming more successful the more I try. I've encountered acid reflux while fasting and i feel like 9 times out of time that is what stops me from continuing. lowering portion sizes before I try again sounds like it might help with the acid
bump :3
wtf did you just call me?
