Windows 11 slows down my pc and makes my gaems run worse.

Windows 11 doesn't support intel cpus before 2017 and amd cpus before 2019. You just can't run it on older hardware, and most people dont need the latest hardware.
Take this chance to try Linux, there is a high chance you'll stick to it.

Windows store barely works on a good day. Half the time searching or viewing apps just doesn't work. Most used operating system on the desktop and basic shit just doesn't function correctly. Go figure.
Don't expect Ubuntu to fare any better though. I tried when 22.04 came out and the store there is even worse. It takes a long time to load a page (like legitimately 5 minutes every time), and eventually the store stopped loading entirely. I guess everyone just uses the CLI to install apps, so they don't even bother making it work properly. We should have never moved on from Win 7 desu,
I reinstalled windows 3 times after that good awful update a few weeks ago that killed the Windows store and all basic apps like calculator and photos. I ended up reinstalling from the version on the recovery partition. Don't download from the cloud. Do you have an 11th gen core i5?

I just tested this out and it's doing the same for me. It didn't use to do this, even on 22.04. Not sure what's going on but you're right that I almost always use the terminal to install stuff

I remember having this problem on arch the one time I tried to install it 9 years ago. There was something at a protocol level it wasn't using by default, don't remember what, but that was the only time i ever tried to install arch. Gentoo doesn't have this problem though, so i'm quite satisfied with linux atm
