Why not just update to Windows 11 and run Windows Subsystem for Linux the 2nd? The integration is truly unparalleled in Windows 11th, user.
Windows 11 slows down my pc and makes my gaems run worse.
Though i dont really care about games its just not an upgrade for me.

Windows 11 doesn't support intel cpus before 2017 and amd cpus before 2019. You just can't run it on older hardware, and most people dont need the latest hardware.
Take this chance to try Linux, there is a high chance you'll stick to it.
My trackball randomly stops working now. Never had this issue before.
