The point is that you are in your physical prime in your youth- it is a huge waste to be out of shape then. Older people should try their best to stay fit but it isn't as bad of a waste if they aren't.
I've found that alot of nerds hate chad because he was in shape during his youth. The loser might manage to get in decent shape as an older adult but he will always carry that chip on his shoulder that he squandered his golden years and chad didn't.
