I wouldn't feed mine cat food. That's what I did to my old cat and she died of cancer.
Found out afterward that (some) cat/dog foods really isn't suitable for carnivores. They contain filler products that contain carcinogens, which can also technically be digested but provide less than adequate nutrition. It's like giving your infant baby formula.
If I could do it, I'd go back and only feed her meat.
