Coffee drinkers live longer, especially if they add a spoonful of sugar

>Adding a spoonful of sugar to a cup of coffee could be the key to a longer life, according to a new study.
>Scientists have found coffee-drinkers are at a lower risk of death than non-coffee drinkers, but those who like the drink sweet are even less likely to die.
>People who drank any amount of unsweetened coffee were up to 21 percent less likely to die than those who did not drink coffee.
>Those who like their coffee sweet were up to 31 percent less likely to die than non-coffee drinkers during the follow-up period — if they kept their coffee consumption between one and a half and three and a half cups a day. Adults who took sugar only added one spoonful on average.
>Drinking coffee displayed a connection to a lower risk of dying from any cause, dying from cancer, and dying from heart disease. It didn’t matter whether people drank decaffeinated, instant, or ground coffee — the results held up for all of them.
Well there it is boys and girls: Coffee IS good for you!

Coffee is an antioxidant so theres that, the sugar thing I am sceptical about...

Doesn't french press and espressos cause high risks of cholesterol?

Why would I add sugar to my coffee? I don't want to sweeten it.

Lol just make your body use the cholesterol to make testosterone. Problem solved.

Because most people like sweetener and aren't just being a contrarian like you.

I'm just not into it. Heavy cream or half and half are nice tho.

I cut all caffeine out of my diet a year ago, and I'm now having the best sleep of my life.

Good thing I drink 3 cups of coffee a day with 6 spoons of sugar each.

Nice. Ask him to add it:

I only have one cup a day. am I fucked?

when you learn how these studies are done you realise how stupid all these headlines are

Real soon to have the longest, deepest sleep possible.

Probably people who drink coffee are more likely to be of working age therefore younger therefore less likely to die.

An overwhelming amount of people drink coffee. Probably more than not. There is no control in this "study."

Do you think it'd affect me if I only drink caffeine in the form of approx. 14oz of coffee at 8am and then no caffeine or coffee for the rest of the day? I don't drink soda or tea at all. But I do find myself awake after midnight often and occasionally waking up in the middle of the night.

Yup, never repeated, just one and done so they can get more funding for some other dog shit. Correlation doesn't equal causation, those dumb fucks.
