Is it really necessary to work legs?

Yes

Depends

I have a friend who's never worked out legs and hes got massive ones. On the flip side he has a lot of work to do on his upper body. It's guys like these that never have to hit leg day ever and they look good.

Meanwhile I have skinny ass legs and have to work them 2x harder than my upper body. High quad, hamstring and calf insertions.

It's all about muscle insertions and fat storages. Work on them accordingly.

ask me how I can tell you've never played a real sport in your life

>upper legs including flexors/adductors
yes
>lower legs
only ankle mobility
calves are a meme

For looks and strength. If you want bad look and weakness, then don't.

not everyone wants to have legs that look like a newborn calf

Only work legs if you wish to have muscular strong legs. If you're happy with the look of your untrained legs then you don't need to train them

Yes, just deadlift if you don’t want to work legs

nothing is necessary user

The stronger your legs, core and posterior chain are, the more weight and reps you can squeeze out of your upper body lifts and the better upper body progress you will make.
Unless you're a machine jockey or a roider, that it.

>is it necessary to work legs?
>is it necessary to work cardio?
>is cutting really necessary?
I swear this place is full of lazy fatties

Theyre only necessary if you don't want to be a weak faggot

Are you roiding? No?
Do you want to look good? Yes?
Than 100% yes

You can't achieve an amazing natural physique by skipping any of the big compound movements

Depends.
If you're lifting in order to achieve a certain aesthetic, then work legs as much as you need to in order to fit that goal.
I pick up heavy stuff exclusively because I want to pick up heavier stuff, so aesthetic does not come into play for me in my workout routine. For me, legs are necessary.

I work legs because having more muscles helps with metabolism so you can get more cut without starving yourself

No pucci?

Nothing is necessary. But lower body lifts are the most efficient way of building a strong base and core. Good luck getting anywhere on upper-body lifts like OHP, Rows, or even Bench if you have untrained legs/posterior-chain/core/etc that just become the limiting factor. Unless you just want to do a bunch of machine shit and isolation work, in which case be my guest.

I recognize those legs.

I think so. I'm bias because I like fit guys with thick thighs but even ignoring that, having a thick lower body that matches the bigger upper body just makes for a uniform look. A lot of guys at the gym I go to don't hit their legs and seem to only focus on their upper body and it just looks very awkward and weird because of how disproportionate looking it is.

So yes, I do think it's necessary to work your legs if you plan on bulking up your top half if all else, to help balance things out.

You'll never look good in shorts without well developed legs.

So.. this is the power.. of autism.

This + raises test

I'd say yes
>increased TDEE from having muscular legs. Makes cutting easier and can eat more on a day to day basis
>squats train more than just legs. They train your core, lower back, even upper back etc
>skinny legs and big arms looks dumb

I mean all I do is 3x5 squats twice a week and they are big enough. Takes 20 mins a session for this so it's really not a giant investment for some pretty massive benefits. For some people, squatting twice a week doing 3x5 will get their legs so big they can't fit in jeans. For other, smaller framed people (like myself) this leads to all those nice benefits and a decently 'toned' (so to speak) set of trotters
