Rice by itself tastes great but it tastes even better with onions sauce or oily chicken breast.

Use a pressurized rice cooker. Zojirushi are expensive but perfect.

Rinse rice and drain it up to 4 or 5 times. This removes some starches and will improve texture.

Do not rinse if your rice has added nutrition, as the supplements are applied via a powder that has been dusted on the grains.

depending on the type of rice you are cooking, the water to rice ratio will vary.
Generally, it can work as follows
Long grain rice, 2:1
Medium grain, 1.5:1
Short grain, 1:1

Ex. 2 cups of dry long grain rice would require 4 cups of water in order to cook thoroughly without over hydrating your rice.

Preparing rice is fairly simple as well. I prefer rice preparation methods in this order.
Pressure cooker >pot & lid >rice cooker

Pressure cookers will prepare any amount of rice in 15 - 30 minutes, but can be a nuisance to clean. Pot & lid is the simplest in all categories. Prep time can vary from 20-40 minutes, depending on quantity.
Rice cookers are very slow, and just niche kitchen appliances, which I find annoying. They do however make excellent rice, with little need for experience. Prep times are almost always an hour or more, in my experience.
