no, 2nd and 3rd pass a stone back and forth until one of them can't do it and the winner goes on to the final. 2nd place gets to pass first so they have kind of a mental advantage of always being in the lead. The rest of them don't go to the final.

Nah it's a back and forth 5 stone series up to 460lbs and if they both get the 460 then they keep repping until they can't

Wrong. 3rd place goes first, if 3rd fails the first stone then 2nd doesn't even have to attempt and automatically wins. 2nd has the advantage because to win they just have to match 3rd, but if 3rd wants to win they have to do 1 more stone than 2nd.
