Actually no, very few w*men at my gym do hip thrusts. In fact, the one with the nicest ass seems to stick almost entirely to squat variations, and I have never seen her perform a single hip thrust.
Presumably if you do equal parts abdominal and hip flexor exercises it wouldn't be a big deal. Plus these chicks aren't actually getting very strong.

The truth is squats aren't great for glute gains. Gymbros hate this because they don't want to do gay hip squatting. So they get that flat square ass every powershitter has.
If you want nice globe ass you need hip thrusts and variations (bulgarian split squat, goblet squat).
It should be fairly obvious since your glutes are never what's fried after doing squats but apparently people can't understand that logic unless it's arm day.

This entire site is highly contrarian. Hip thrusts are obviously good for ass hypertrophy. There's just a stigma because women do it.
I only do hip thrusts because squats hurt my hips/knee and I don't want to get a weak ass when it needs strengthened for my hip to get better.
