He spent $2000+ on his PC, $200 on the keyboard, $150 on the mouse, and $400 on the monitor

>he spent $2000+ on his PC, $200 on the keyboard, $150 on the mouse, and $400 on the monitor
>but cheaped out on the audio

why are so many gamers like this?

because audio was figured out a couple decades ago and theres no need to go beyond my $20 koss kc75. i have a pair of DT 990 pros right next to me and they sound indistinguishable from each other and one costs only a fraction of the other. audiophile gear is a meme at best and a scam at worst. youre paying for snakeoil

Sorry OP im not a retard who buy a 50w amp for 500

keyboard
>plug into computer
mouse
>plug into computer
audio
>spend 50 hours reading opinions from the most autistic people on earth
>pay $1000 for the right cables, headset, amplifier, sublifier, power supply, subwoofer, ampwoofer, catwoofer, dogwoofer
>spend another 50 hours and $100 getting the voltages and ampages and EQ right
>it sounds "okay"

Why would you need an ifi garbage while having adi2? Beyond retarded.

I definitely didn't. Focal utopia are good, I just wish they fit my big ass ears better. Need to use egg shaped cups like this.

>because audio was figured out a couple decades ago
Correct.
>and theres no need to go beyond my $20 koss kc75.
Incorrect.
But you really don't need to pay that much for great sounding audio gear.

>>but cheaped out on the audio
Audiophile gear is the most expensive snakeoil on the planet. Fuck off with your "elite" DAC and $500 headphones, it objectively sounds no better than a $100 setup.

>koss kc75
*Breaks because I looked their direction.

I just use cheap earbuds I got like 10 years ago

>150 for the mouse
What the hell even those overpriced death adders are only like 60 bucks and sometimes go on sale for half price

How good is video game audio. Audio compressions must make it pretty shit.

>it objectively sounds no better than a $100 setup.
Sorry about your hearing damage user. What expensive headphones have you heard, or are you just spewing shit?

if you actually cared about audio you would be using speakers, nice larp poorfag

audiophile shit is an absolute meme, you can get absolute quality, durable and comfortable headset for under 100 bucks, under 50 even

>buy $40 chink headphones and $9 apple dac
>it sounds as good as a $400 audio setup

Lol I don't even play with audio on in most games. I always have music or a podcast playing in a browser anyway.

Cause my $150 wireless steel series headphones gives me about the same directional audio accuracy as these shittyy $30 wireless Bluetooth earbuds from amazon. Audiophile gear is a scam and the only thing in willing to shill for when it comes to audio gear is battery life on wireless.

Poorfag here, just bought a cheap audio interface and yes, the difference is noticeable: even if we talking about shitty consumer grade stuff vs shitty professional hardware. I gonna buy a proper headphone next.

Gamer moment

Someone else already correctly pointed it out: it's an autist rabbit hole looking into audioshit. I'm not new to tech stuff and even I gave up. Just stuck with onboard to power my 2.1 speaker set.

I have a $3000 pc, $1200 monitor, and a $10000 stereo, get rekt.
Shit my desk is worth more than most people pcs and my stereo more than most peoples car who frequent this board.
Stay mad and poor.
