Thoughts on invaders? Should you 1v1 them or should you gank squad them?

the point of invaders is to add an element of mystery, challenge and surprise. You should use whatever tools you have available at the time to dispatch them and they should do the same.
do whatever you want. youre the one playing.
>bow
>fight
>no healing
that's how you should be doing it
I don't show any courtesy by default, fuck that. I might give them a dueling emote just to give them a quick stab while they're emoting back. It isn't a fight club, you are interrupting my progress through the game. If i kill you while you're invading me; fuck off and don't come back, if you kill me; well done i hope you had fun.
From goes out of their way to make it harder and harder for invaders to actually have the chance to 1v1 with every new game. If you wanna 1v1 then you'll have to go back to Dark Souls 1.
There is literally a dueling item with unlimited uses given to you with a 2 minute ride from the starting spot
Dueling isn't invading. The point of invading is to be a dick and ruin someone else's time.
I want to try invading, what's a good methodology for acting as a mini boss? I don't care about le ebin fair 1v1 duels, I just want to roleplay as a strong obstacle for the player.
dont care about invasions or coop. just give me more singleplayer kino
>invade
>subhuman animal faggot spamming gravity bolt
>while im fighting his faggot girlfriend
cuck game
In Elden Ring you should 1v1 them or let your phantom 1v1 them because you invited them. I've never seen a single invader in 40 hours of playtime because the function is disabled if you don't opt into it.
>ruin
You mean enhance. I loved coming up with dumb thematic/cosplay builds and making myself a part of their world. Usually the builds weren't even strong, but the host still acted like a punk as if I was trying to rob him and totally refused to play along. Most people who play these games are sourpuss crybabies who can't handle a little fun.

He sees you as being there to kill him, not to be there as a cool thematic obstacle.
Haven't seen any invaders at all. But I wish I did.
as an invader i use every single bullshit trick I can, and i dont give afuck if i win or lose becase its fun anyways
a favorite of mine is using the invisibility ring and a greatbow, locate myself in a high spot and just snipe
it's comfy
If they pull out the shit tools, then I pull out the shit tools. Otherwise I just fight them.
mfw i never got invaded once in 70+ hours of gameplay
I'm wearing a potato sack on my head and using a pitchfork that makes me trip and fall on my face. He really didn't need to run back to the bonfire and summon two people in end game boss armor. He probably would have just killed me while I was face first in the mud. That kind of tone deaf behavior is what ruins the game, not invasions.
I always summon friendlies if they are available because you faggots are interrupting my game.
Seems to heavily prioritize co-op players. Every time I join someone for an area an invader pops up seconds later
based
cringe
Im so happy invasions arent automatically on. easy way to play only offline
because no one wants to deal with your bullshit. if you want pvp then play the countless available Multiplayer games
You're not getting it. He doesn't see you as a challenge, regardless of how easy you are or how comical look. He's also very bad at the game and has no confidence he can beat you. You, by invading, are trying to stop him from doing what he wants and he's going to use every trick in the book to stop you. Him being a coward doesn't ruin his time. He feels good that you got what you deserved. It ruins your time because you wasted your time trying to be a cool enemy which nobody appreciates.
The only people who are going to "get" what you're going for are the people who will summon you for duels, not the kind who will get invaded.
variety is the spice of souls games imo. dueling clubs are fine for those that want to refine their builds and 1v1 potential. But i think you need to have random chaos agents to make the pve experience feel more spontaneous and engaging as well. It's a real shame FROM doesn't know how to handle the invasion process very well. I'm over level 100 and have explored a massive amount of the map, and i have never seen a single player invader.
Not as cringe as taking PVP in old Souls games seriously, loser. Not everybody has interest or your high rank of autism to care about this optional, dated shit.
