I'll start:
Headlong Rush: 120 BP, lowers both defense and special defense one stage
Thread for:
lots of people have said this but there's a non-zero chance that Victory Dance will be a physical Quiver Dance
The three "Storm" moves very well could be 110 damage while keeping their effects. Maybe with Bleakwind Storm losing its freeze chance.
This would be crazy. Could put some underwhelming Fighting-types back on the map.
>I forgot to distribute Headlong Rush
Rhyperior, Tauros, Mamoswine, Donphan, Swampert, Linoone, Aggron, Rampardos, Bastiodon, Emboar, Stoutland, Bouffalant, Keldeo, Gogoat, Mudsdale, Passimian, Dubwool,
Did I miss any obvious inclusions?
Why do i think Rhyperior is a good candidate for Mountain Gale?
>Barb Barrage
Shelter will probably be given to a number of Pokemon with shells (turtles, snails, etc.)
Although I wonder if they'll have it raise evasiveness.
Triple Arrows will be 80 power, 100% accuracy and with high critical hit, basically a leaf blade with 10 points lower in power
Shelter wouldn't make sense on other shelled mons because it explicitly ties into Hisuian Goodra's ability to manipulate the hardness of its shell
Shell Smash only made since for things with breakable or rocky shells like Crustle and Carracosta, but Blastoise got it for some reason.
So the move description doesn't even mention a shell, actually. It says that the user hardens its skin. So maybe it should remain exclusive and just be Acid Armor on steroids?
What does the description of harden say?
>The user stiffens all the muscles in its body to raise its Defense stat.
It's been this since gen 4 apparently.
Forgot to actually contribute:
I can see Chloroblast just becoming Grass-type Hyper Beam, Raging Fury becoming Fire type Outrage, and Dire Claws being boosted to around 75-85 BP while keeping it's current effects (granted the chance of inflicting each status stays low).
Fair enough, actually. Though two wrongs don't make a right and all that
Yeah, I can see it being an Acid Armor type of thing
>I can see Chloroblast just becoming Grass-type Hyper Beam
More like Mind Blown
Why would Chloroblast change effect? Its not even an effect unseen in normal pokemon in the form of Mind Blown/Steel Beam.
Thats what the datamine says its doing internally, legends just makes the buff a bit more generic.
Victory Dance is in a spot where i doubt it'll leave its host mon and might just stay otherwise intact, course it could but then Liligant isn't going to be any good really.
I was turning it into Hyper Beam because it has the same effect as it (lowering action speed) on top of the recoil. I doubt they're going to keep BOTH effects going into a mainline game, so I just made the safe bet and assume they'd equivalate it to the closest reference actually ni PLA.
Stone Axe effectively sets up Stealth Rocks, would be cool if it and Ceaseless Edge set up hazards in future games.
Or, if they just have a residual damage effect, it would be cool if they had also had a trapping effect similarly to Wrap, Whirlpool, etc..
Am I the only one that thinks that GF should stop making new moves every game and instead balance the current list.
We have over 800 moves now
I mean, any Pokémon that is notable for living in the mountains, and maybe being physically strong, could potentially get this move.
It's kinda funny cause the name suggests it's a move Flying pokemon or Blizzard users might learn, but from it's description and animation to its feature on Avalugg suggests it's more akin to Avalanche or Icicle Crash.
Looks like it's potentially better than both - a physical variant of Blizzard mechanically speaking
Chloroblast would probably become an Explosion or Mind Blown clone. Leaning toward the former because that's been the Voltorb line's gimmick since the dawn of time.
Make it 100 percent accurate in hail
Doesn't Self Destruct have a weird specific damage value? Pretty sure it does a lot more recoil than the "Mind Blown" type damage Chloroblast does.
I do think recoil feels more likely to stick than Hyper Beam though, its the more unique option(as grass hyper beam exists) and recoil is more fitting for the mon attached.
If I remember correctly, Selfdestruct did something like 75% recoil damage. Again, this is Electrode we're talking about, a Pokemon that has been portrayed as exploding since gen 1.
