It's nearly impossible to discuss anything with them at length because they end up ignoring more abstract things, like whether or not something is appropriate to do or say. Context is also lost on them. You'll be talking about computer components, but when you say "well that set of gaming benchmarks doesn't matter in my specific, strictly productivity use case." they break. They'll insist that you need X graphics card because it's capable of higher framerates, ignoring that you'll never use that extra capability.
