Humans are social creatures and aspergers by definition means you have problems interacting with other humans so you don't end up being as successful as others who are much more adept at reading human behaviour and playing all the usual social games.
IQ isn't everything and teamwork is a big part of most organisations. The socially inept nerd with the high IQ makes others feel uncomfortable and so he often ends up in a dead end position in a room in the basement performing complex and critical technical functions while the successful schmoozer ends up on the top floor doing fuck all and getting way more money for it.

And autistic "intelligence" is more of an obsession with a particular topic and good memory, not raw creativity that drives innovation. Any Forums will teach you these things whether you want to know them or not. It's nearly impossible to discuss anything with them at length because they end up ignoring more abstract things, like whether or not something is appropriate to do or say. Context is also lost on them. You'll be talking about computer components, but when you say "well that set of gaming benchmarks doesn't matter in my specific, strictly productivity use case." they break. They'll insist that you need X graphics card because it's capable of higher framerates, ignoring that you'll never use that extra capability.
