I think it's moreso down to preference. If you're a person who appreciates the space you get from living in a single family home with a big lawn then cities aren't for you. But the benefits of being able to access basic things like a grocery store, school, and parks by walking instead of driving a car everywhere are there.
Also the density (not some nutzo apartment complex thing, something like picrel seems fine to me) helps with housing prices not being assfucked by Blackrock. But like the other user said, niggers kind of ruin a lot of that since they can take advantage of those prices and accessibility too.

Yeah, about that. They move to prosperous cities when there are jobs available, except the north east. For whatever reason it has remained 99 percent white. My city elected a liberal and africans started coming in after getting hired by the local government so they won't be poor.

Nah, the smart cities push is the neofeudalists. The walkable push is a distraction since the various neofeudalists would never be able to agree on it, at least not in North America. The origins of the problem are the root of how cities are planned, how cities are developed, and how that development is financed. There are far too many people far too comfy with the ways their subculture works and makes money to see the foundational changes necessary.

All that movement seems to be managing so far is to close off a handful of streets the laptop class imagines themselves sitting outside for a latte in, and to paint bike lanes or worse shared use lanes on the road. These changes are relatively inoffensive to the calcified power structures and are also pretty much entirely useless. Notjustbikes for example goes into how that style of bike lane is horrible and no substitute at all for the real thing.

You'd need someone with the political power and will and the courage to try to do the right thing to have any hope of seeing real improvements. This is exactly what our political systems is designed to suppress. There is endless paperwork and policy governing things like potential $20 benefits possibly going to a low level government worker when they shouldn't. This same red tape ties up the potential of doing the right thing and drags it into a series of committees where it inevitably dies. Or it acts as a chilling effect where the employee knows that option A will save the government hundreds of thousands but it also puts their continued employment in jeopardy.

Meanwhile the feds, provinces, and cities all point fingers at each other and other than wasting money on the occasional failed program and press conference to make it look like they tried surrender to business as usual. They'd never allow anything like small businesses set up in the front yards of the owner's home. Too radical. Yet it was done before in Vancouver.

Rural areas are mainly poverty stricken shit holes with no culture, no convenience, no options and no decent people. I've looked. Industry has been shipped away, the towns are rotting, the people are rotting and on drugs, there are very few viable options for homes.
The suburbs fucking suck. The "up and coming suburbs starter kit" meme that kicks around here is 100% accurate. Suburb towns are too fucking crowded now. This is made worse in suburbs because there is often no infrastructure to accommodate the crowdedness, and often times the suburb has been built to its limit. So you have to get in your car to drive everywhere, and the traffic sucks, and everyone is a horrible driver now. I can't leave my door in the suburbs without experiencing several massive fuck ups on the road. I'm really trying to drive without raising my heart rate or getting road rage-- its nearly impossible.

I want a small, walkable city or town that hasn't been over run by blacks. All the suburbs by me are getting flooded by them. Even the high cost of living latte town in which I currently reside.
My options for a walk-able town without blacks is 2-3 tourist towns way out of the way from the major metropolitan cities in my state. The cost of living will be higher, and my options will be more scarce. But its absolutely worth it. Its the only way I want to raise my future family.

true, but that isn't the fault of the cities but the archaic zoning. Most U.S cities are a downtown area surrounded by miles of winding suburban roads, but that's not what they're really supposed to be. Those aren't walkable at all, since you're stuck in residential limbo world unless you drive to a strip mall or the downtown.

Bro I live as far north as normal civilization goes. Basically one or two steps away from Inuit living. The town I live in is only accessible by plane during most of the year, the winters are always -40 and worse. If someone said go to a place without niggers, my town would be the number one place for 99% of answers. Despite all of that, theres still a few niggers here.
