BREAKING: Poland signs contract with Korea for 1000 tanks and 50 fighters

Minister of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak has signed contracts for the purchase of armaments from South Korea. These include FA-50 light fighters, K2 tanks and K9 self-propelled howitzers.

The order for K2 tanks has been divided into two stages. In the first, Poland is to buy 180 tanks - deliveries will begin later this year, while the second stage is for more than 800 tanks to be brought up to the K2PL standard and for production to begin in Poland in 2026. The tanks delivered in the first phase are also to be brought up to the K2PL standard.

The purchase of K9 self-propelled howitzers has also been divided into phases.
