"ethnicity" is the word for language, "race" is the language for what people actually are, back in the day what races are was just a mix of guesswork and phenotypes, now we have very clear genetic data and we know exactly what races are, and what races make up every country (all the racial made by the nazis are completely false, they put algerians and austrians in the same "alpanoid caucasoid race", and a random circle around northern europe for "the northern race", that was the level of the cutting edge of nazi racial science, a complete larp with no basis in reality
