Why is it so hard to quit smoking? What kind of shit are they putting in these things now?

There are more than 3000 chemicals in cigarettes made to addict you to cigarettes. That's why.
Try snus to get off cigarettes. Snus may be easier to quit, because then you're at least fighting just the nicotine, not the thousands of other chemicals + the ritual of firing up a cigarette.

for me its meaningless life and boring job... its a coping mechanism. If things were better, I'd quit it.

He's canadian, not slavshit like us. Cigarettes aren't a measure of how quality your life is there anymore (if you have cigarettes life is good, if you don't shit sucks)

Don't listen to the anhedonic anons ITT saying you can cold turkey when they themselves don't feel pleasure from anything. The cigarette addiction is chemical, behavioural and social.

Same way how internet, cooming, video games/internet addiction, turning into a fat fuck and "spending money you don't have on shit you don't need" work. You simply let go of yourself and seek the next high, it's degenerative and slowly kills you

In 10 hours ive quit for 29 days actually, just switch to vaping and every week (or 2-3 weeks) lower the nicotine % till you at 0%. Then just vape 0% for like a week or more and then just quit.

It's not though, I went cold turkey 4 months ago.
I've saved Nearly 2k since.

I miss the ritual soo fucking much. Almost as much as the hit. Just quit during covid, so about 1.5 years of smoke free. I still want to smoke once a month.

Smoked cigarettes for 11 years. Wasnt easy to stop at first,a year in I relapsed for like 6 months..then stopped for once and for all. Been many years since, but in all fairness Ive never stopped smoking marijuana. If you smoke weed then it should be easy

I love smoking, it's just to expensive, the taste, the feeling, the nicotine.
