Nothing, Russia is unwilling to allow people to cash out rubles for gold and refuses to let gold leave the country. It's Fiat with the promise that gold is somewhere in the country, but you can never touch it even with appropriate amounts of currency to exchange.

I too would like to know some people's thoughts on this. Seems like it has massive implications
