Are rappers really as wealthy as publicized?

you know, on top of any personal wealth, advances from the label, their share of profits etc

>Ok name any rapper and search “net worth” example: wacka flocka is worth 7 million. How is this possible?

because it was written on the internet. so it must be factual.

one of my fondest wishes
is to see rappers file for bankruptcy
list includes jay z, migos, gucci mane, lil wayne
& your half jew half nigger chimera, drake

>How are they generating this wealth?

It's all fake. Those people are groomed to be "famous" and no talent or success is needed. They are propped up by "charity" to spread propaganda.

This is quality Aussie bait, I must admit

While streaming doesn't pay as much as physical album sales it's still a fuck ton of money. If you have hundreds of millions of people listening to your music for 10 cents each it still adds up.

You're seriously underestimating the money made on tours though. You don't need to play arenas to make a lot of money touring. It's essentially you walking into a room where thousands of people hand you $20 for 90 minutes of your time.

You completely left merch out of the equation too which is arguably the number 1 revenue generator for musicians. Most are seriously underserving their audience but the ones who take full advantage end up making more money from T-Shirt sales than music. It's ironic you used Drake as your example and said he couldn't possibly be worth $200 million. He has a clothing line that does $50 million in sales yearly.

you guys are fucking dumb.
20k for a concert times 20 or 40 concerts a year (some of these guys hustle, and perform every weekend), $50k to promote some shitty alcohol, $25k for the shoes you wear. renew your sponsorships every year. another $50k from royalties. meanwhile people are throwing "investment opportunities" at you and some of them are just scams but some of them let you put your face on some dumb product and make another 6 figures a year.
put it in retirements accounts and boom, a few million after 10 years easy.
wockaflocka is 35 and has been performing professionally for 14 years. being worth only $7 million is kind of fucking pathetic.
Chamillionaire got involved in shoes and ridesharing apps and he's worth $50 million at 42 years old.
it's not that crazy. jay-z being worth $1.4 billion now that's fucking crazy. connections and hard work. investing in his own businesses.

>You're seriously underestimating the money made on tours though.
Most tours are money pits. The cost of set pieces and unless you get over 10K people a night and charge $80-$100 you barely cover enough money to get the crew and set to the next town. T. Ex roadie

Album, concert ticket, and merchandise sales.
