Which operating system do you use/recommend Any Forums?

Selling gaming pc I rarely play games on and downgrading to basic Laptop.
It mainly will be used for Email, Bank, Any Forums, and the occasional online purchase and AoE II Multiplayer. Which OS do you use/recommend? Which is best for privacy/security? Which is best for simplicity/minimal bloatware.

Glows can’t monitor you if you are on anything pre XP. 98 is a good choice.

The most important thing is that the people who use it are empowered to change it. That's why Linux based OSes don't have many of the Windows problems (and why the Linux desktop "sucks" because the devs won't adopt user hostile paradigms from Windows.)
