what are the political implications of companies going on public offer for $15B while retaining large swaths of completely unpaid staff?
will we ever see mod unions where they demand wages for their labor?

Where's the bread sauce? Didn't see it here last night. It's prolly archived.
I do agree with this concept, it's just that we gotta figure out how to actually get the message through to the mods.
I don't get the feeling the mods have a particularly good relationship with the admins, they know from before that they can get what they want by organising shutdowns. They've probably figured it out for themselves.
This won't work. They seem to hate big corporations but turn their eyes away from the elites who believe in their cause
I think this genuinely could be the end of Reddit.
Their entire biz model is clearly unprofitable without those mods doing the work for free.
The powermods certainly do.
When you realize that Reddit is a function of the government, and that its earnings, its moderators, and its IPO doesnt matter. Reddit will keep going for the manipulation of the general publics opinons. Like how movies can fail for decades and the industry is flush with cash still somehow. Like how advertisers will pay millions to reach an audience the fraction of the size of a minecraft streamer on TV. Its not about the company or the money with these entities. Think of them like CIA blackops
Disagree. I think the powermods might have the upperhand and have the admins over a barrel but I strongly disagree that it's a 'good' relationship.
I imagine most of the admins can't stand having to deal with them and just give them shit to shut them up while trying to do something about them behind the scenes.
