Unless you're super rich, in America they put you in jail until you sigh a plea agreement giving up your right to a trial. Jails in America are cruel torture according to international standards so you're tortured until you agree to give up your rights.
Not to mention that by default you lose your job, and probably your home too just for getting arrested. Even before you're found guilty of anything they wreck your life because the imprisson you for weeks, or months, or years before you're even tried for any crime.
Honestly I hate them all and it's the number 1 reason I want everything to burn.
