I run some internet infrastructure. Last year some new people from "Amazon" were hired as executives and immediatly pushed for us to start logging any queries we could, even stuff that didn't make sense to log.
Anything that doesn't leave your computer fully encrypted with the public/shared key of the intended reader is absolutely being logged and analyzed and most often can be traced back to you with some minimal amount of work.
