Atheism is essentially the belief that in the beginning there was nothing, and nothing was something...

God doesn't precedes nothing

He is

Wow amazing word salad there. Can you demonstrate your statement Bret?

you have the world's most powerful dictionary in front of you

I don't know, define god. I don't believe in the Abrahamic God because I haven't been convinced.

I don't think there is a good answer to this argument but one could argue that when there was nothing, there were no physical laws stopping nothing from becoming something.

If God engenders reality than it necessarily precedes manifestation.

You can't make everything if there was something first.

Bump.

No, I lack belief in any gods. If there are gods, there is no evidence, to my mind at least, that points to their existence.
In the same fashion, I lack belief in fairies. If there are fairies, there is no evidence, to my mind at least, that points to their existence.
In the same fashion, I lack belief in Japanese Oni. If there are Oni, there is no evidence etc etc, you get the picture.
I'm willing to wager that your stance on Oni is exactly the same as mine. So, if you bear that in mind, just replace the word Oni with God and you will see where an atheist stands.
I don't go about my life as if there is an Oni watching me 24/7, and neither do you. I don't go about my life as if God is either, but for some reason you differ.

No not a modest life(without god it will be more difficult) but if you want perfection yes you need God

I'm notnasking a dictionary,.I'm asking you for your subjective interpretation
