Yeah this is the real key:
The human body needs a certain ratio or balance of sodium and potassium. The health problems associated with sodium typically only occur in people who are deficient in potassium.
Additionally, it seems notable that the human body is much better at eliminating excess sodium (through urine etc) than trying to operate with sub-minimum amounts of sodium.
It’s also highly dependent on your diet. For example someone on a ketogenic diet is going to need a lot more salt than someone whose diet consists mainly of carbs.
