Soon the only thing people will associate LOTR with is a cash grab cgi fest and a pozzed tv show. It isn't right, our cultural heritage shouldn't be dragged through the mud like this. Why does no one care about legacy anymore? It's a sad and cold world we live in and if Tolkien was around he would be embarrassed of what his people have become.
I feel bad for you zoomers, you have no idea what it used to be like. I literally waited 5 hours to download the trailer of the fellowship of the ring off dial up, watching that little bar move one millimeter at a time. And I thought it was space age technology. When Boromir gasped his last breath begging Aragorn to save his people there was not a dry eye in the theatre. Women openly sobbed, men beat their chests and stomped the ground vowing to stand their ground no matter the cost. When Gandalf rose over that hill at the battle of Helms Deep you could feel the entire building shaking with the roar of the entire audience. I saw people fainting all around me, it was a transcendent experience.
