Scream is just not franchise material. Oh no, someone else is taking up the Ghostface persona, gee who is it this time? Who the fuck cares? Especially five times in a row. Oh, it's gonna be some zoomers from the zoomer cast, who the fuck cares? Making the killer one of the main trio would have people accuse them of trying too hard for shock value. The perfect middle ground would've been to bring back Stu as the killer, whether as a literal undead supernatural zombified Stu or as a safer "he totally survived the TV bro", but Scream is far too up it's own ass and pretentious about how "prestigious" it is for the slasher genre to do anything fun. FUCK this movie and FUCK this series.

If this had any balls (it doesn't, Scream is just as pozzed as every other franchise) Ghostface would have an exchange with a black character trying to bring up the (non-existent) horror "trope" of people of black people dying in horror movies and Ghostface clarifying PC Hollywood goes out their way to make sure black people get special treatment and treats them like royalty. Ghostface would then kill the black character in the most painful grotesque way possible. Ghostface could have a cool zinger to say it's actually progressive and brave to kill black characters nowadays (which is true). But Scream no longer has an edge or bite to it. Ghostface is now a pussy, he has to be nice to the black people and not go at them so hard.

Dewey got to go out redeemed as a brave hero as well. I loved it bros. I think all the zoomie cast is great except for the 13 reasons why guy and the grill and they both died so based.
I can’t imagine who is gonna be the killer next one tho.

He went out as a blundering retard. He had an unconscious Ghostface and multiple people with him to back him up. They all just left and then he goes back alone to finish off the unconscious Ghostface, deciding to stand in stabbing range and spends twenty seconds or so aiming his gun as if it's a long and arduous task to shoot someone, then a ringing phone distracts him long enough for Ghostface to spring up from the ground and stab him? Shit was retarded. That's Scream 5 for you.

The cast is atrocious and you spend no time with any of them to care. Look at that fountain scene in Scream 1 where you get to see everyone's personality shine and interact with each other. This film is so rapid fire with it's scenes with no time to digest anything because it was made for zoomers who cant pay attention to a single scene for more than a minute. Imagine if Scream 1's fountain scene was sixty seconds long instead of the three or four minutes that it was. This film's equivalent was much quicker and I walked away from that scene knowing nothing about the group. Mutt Randy, Chad and his coalburning gf were awful. Main girl with ghost force Billy was horrendous. Worst cast the series has ever had.

In reality blacks hang around with blacks, whites hang around with whites, people don't mix to form some mutt diversity quota group. You cant relate or sympathize with these characters because they aren't real people, they're hand picked to fulfil a diversity quota.

I stand by my point that having a better cast than the sequels doesn't stand too highly. not killing off the first girl and billy loomis's seed were both characters I actually gave a fuck. The main trio were still great and the rest of the rest were at least inoffensive imo.

Also he doesn’t go out like a retard. The way he got distracted was genuinely out of left field, literally nobody watching it could have predicted that’s how he’d get caught. He saved the protagonists of the film and died because he decided to be brave and end things once and for all. He is based in my books.

Amber doesn’t ragdoll anyone. The only time we know it’s her in the costume for sure is against Dewey and she literally gets overpowered and BTFO by him physically. Richie only pretends to get beaten by her because obviously.

Jordan Peele is special though according to this movie, his movies are masterpieces, "elevated" horror isn't even in the same category, Jordan Peele movies "rule".

Yes he does go out like a retard. He has Ghostface unconscious on the floor, with multiple people around as backup and he has a fucking gun. It doesn't occur to him to finish the job once he has escorted everyone else out of the hospital, THEN he decides to go back alone. Then instead of spending three seconds to point a gun and unload a clip into someone he fumbles around with his gun for thirty seconds while standing in stabbing range, then gets distracted by a ringing phone. It's fucking idiotic.
