Is it true that kids today are actually less tech-literate than the previous generation?

Is it true that kids today are actually less tech-literate than the previous generation?

I read some article about a highschool teacher who had to explain to their class full of Zoomers how do file directories work because they are just used to phones and tablets dropping all files into a big list sorted by type (Images, Music, Videos, etc.)

depends. they know how to use youtube/tiktok? yeah, for sure. they are open to use software with no gui? nope

They are useless fucking retards, sociopaths raised by social media and have no logical or critical thinking ability.

Just the reason technology, entertainment and internet went to absolute shit.

Other day, a zoomer idiot asked if his 99% capacity battery in a 3 months old phone is still ok, or should he sell it and buy a new phone.

Fucking zoomershits, useless trash.

>Is it true that kids today are actually less tech-literate than the previous generation?
100% true

Yes. There is a very slim window of millennials that actually generally know how computers work, everyone before and after that slim time window is 99.99% tech illiterate.
This is also your occasional reminder that Dell classifies you as an advanced power user if you can open and use submenus.

Depends on what you mean by "tech literate"
They probably know more than boomers when it comes to operating a tablet/phone.
Millennials definitely know more all around.
Boomers are on a cognitive decline, even if they programmed the shuttle they act like they don't know dick anymore.

Well maybe they just don't have the opportunity to use a computer or a laptop.

You wouldn't want your kid to fuck up your computer would you?
I remember 10 years ago when I was younger me and my friends would be downloading countless of viruses trying to download shit and get free fake game gold.

Your intelligence is too low for your opinion to be relevant here.

>he never downloaded a birus in his life
>tech-literate

>Managing to download viruses beyond the XP era
user.. I...

whats a submenu?

>be a parent
>give a phone/tablet to your kid because its easy
>kid grows up retarded with burned out dopamine receptors
i wonder why is this all happening

We had windows 7 and we where kids and we did download viruses.
So we weren't any smarter than today's kids back when we where kids.

I gave my boy a thinkpad x220 and now he says he feels like a girl

Running a CS degree here. Too many people buy CS memes, and most Gen Zers are as tech-savvy as their grandparents. The only thing that sets them apart is their narrow but deep understanding of cell tech. However, I noticed there are small circles of Gen Z that are very sophisticated with tech, more than their predecessors at times. Tech literacy within Gen-Z is like a coin flip.

Try using files on an iPad, there is your answer

Great example, that is why the new generations are practically fucked when being introduced to tech. The big guys don't want you to use their blueprints to outsmart them, even thought that's exactly what they did to get in their positions.

You experimented, that isn't really allowed and just isn't done today. They don't want you to know how to clean a computer that you put a million viruses on, they want you to purchase bloatware that will "clean" your pc.

I remember spreading porn.exe viruses on some Multiupload ddl sites. Bought it from a dude on a "hacker" Forum. Got a few steam accs and mc accs.
I also did crawl my own combos from usernames of big forums before most forums removed the ability to do so. Made my own settings with this general purpose checker where you had to find the login API and fetch codewords for hit or miss.
Sold like 10 MC accs for 5 bucks to some internet dudes with pp f&f. Porn accs etc. i cracked them all. A few years later everyone and his mom does it. I was literally one of a few doing it back then kek.

I think its a type of sandwich XD
