I never got the feeling that Any Forums was some terrible secret place you should feel ashamed about coming to, or that you should anguish that

for better or worse it’s a cornerstone of the internet. I just wish moot didn’t leave, if he could’ve weathered the stormfags until they finally fucked off, or if we just had a site admin that actually cared or understood what the site’s culture is or had a vision for what it could be. moot was far from perfect, but he at least had an idea for what he wanted this place to be. like everything else on the internet, Any Forums is now run like a soulless business with no direction except profit. that’s the only thing that hurts about coming back every day
