to be fair, there is no good reason to use FTP nowadays, and no places offer ftp downloads like they did 15 years ago anymore either
it's a dead protocol, op, http downloads are better in every way, and firefox never had ftp uploads as a built in feature
i'm usually all for keeping things that aren't hurting anything, but even i can't think of a reason to keep ftp support in browsers
it was perfect for dorking random open ftp servers on google though, found a couple open company servers with open customer data looking for firmware updates for my cisco switch
