You don't. The Republican base is not sustainable. It excludes non-whites, non-males, non-Christians, and the LGBT. Regardless of how anyone feels about those demographics, they are growing in size every year and can't be ignored. It's why Democrats keep winning the popular vote and why the margin is only going to get bigger. Eventually, not even gerymandering or the electoral college is going to make Republicans electable.
