China's military strength is focused solely on keeping its populace in line. Their strongest military force is its military police. They couldn't win a fight against the US unless they used nuclear weapons.
Also, China is likely inflating its numbers for their population to appear as though they have more people than they actually have, in order to appear stronger than they actually are.
Also, the Chinese army thinks the youngest recruitable in their population are too far and masturbate too much, which isn't a good thing.
And not only all that, PLA rations are some of the worst in the world. An army runs off their stomachs, and what the Chinese get could be compared to the rations the people in City 17 get in Half-Life 2. The morale of the Chinese army would be too low to do any good if they got in any combat situation.
However, we did get our asses kicked in Vietnam so it might end up like that, in that case we're fucked.
