Any extra steps required, like trying to find a "donor" or a "friend of the family" and later eventually having them realize that their family is "special" is unnecessary clutter in everyone's lives. A family's purpose is to create as fit offspring as possible. These complications are likely to negatively affect the chance of the offspring turning out good enough.
2. Male homos specifically have no dedicaded fuckholes so that would lead to fudgepacking in most cases, which is not very good for at the absolute least the receiving male. Frequent enemas or whatever they do nowadays ought to be pretty bad for the intestines.
