Yes. It's called "leaving home." This has been successfully accomplished by tens of millions of people, worldwide.

fair enough. any tips? its a harsh world out there.

It was much easier to do in previous generations. Look up statistics for the age and amount of people who still live at home today compared to like 1950. Or 1970. People didn't suddenly stop wanting to get the fuck out of their parents houses, the system has been rigged against us for years now. Remember, one guy used to be able to work a shit job and still have a wife who didn't work, and a family, plus a house, car, vacation time, you name it. What the fuck do the masses have now.

Figure out where in the west you want to go. Start applying for jobs there.

In the meantime, save every penny you can. If you look at things like rental prices, the west is usually a more expensive place to live than the east, especially the southeast. You'll want some savings.

If you're just starting out, avoid the coast. Cities like Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle are ridiculously overpriced. Unless you land a management-level gig right out of the gate you're going to live a lot poorer in those place than you might in a more inland location.

shitjob
wakanda!

Perfect. You're on the rocket to success. Enjoy your new life.

I put in a one year notice to work.
saved up 3k with an on and off psycho ex. We hated each other but the sex was alright.
>fly to a random state
>end up in ohio
>Be were homeless for a month
>Looking for work or a place to rent constantly
>lots of exploring
>sleep on busses and crash in a motel every few days for real sleep.
>Find a place that took cash for rent no questions.
>A crack dealer followed us into the house.
>we thought he lived there
>they other people thought he was with us
>Invites us to live with him
>Told her not to touch drugs because she had issues with them already.
>warned her this exact thing was going to go down if she did drugs with him
>we just need to stay sober long enough to find out own place
>two days later
>He gets her wacked on meth and tried to fuck her
>not my problem
>Shit goes down anyway and I get dragged into it
>fast forward 3 years
>Live in apartment by myself.
> life is exactly the same as before I left just with new faces and less stars in the sky.

It was fun no regerts but if your trying to change your life, that starts with changing yourself.

Bruh, I understand you guys were desperate for a place to stay, but how did you not realize he was merely offering you a place so he could get your girl high and fuck her? That's what drug dealers do, they aren't known for being good samaritans. Were you really young and naive?

This hits home because im in ohio rn. Fair enough user. Noted.
