Will time travel be possible within our lifetimes?

Will time travel be possible within our lifetimes?

NOTE: no naysaying. If you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything at all.

It's already happened, don't you know.

Probably not...

If time travel is possible at any time in history, it is automatically possible in your lifetime.

Will you ever have a chance to time travel? Almost certainly not.

I have a minor in astrophysics. The answer to your question is no. Not in our lifetime.

In future generations, if liberals don't destroy humanity, forward time travel should be doable. We know how to do it but don't have the technology to make it happen. why would anyone would be interested in foward only time travel is beyond me but.. it's possible.

your major must be in being a huge faggot

>only believes in forward time travel
No wonder you only have a minor in astrophysics. It's agreed upon by the scientific community that backwards time travel is possible, although it's a lot more complicated than forwards time travel, which can easily be figured out with high school math.

whats theoretically possible is not necessarily physically possible.

Do you realize what actual time travel means? it means every sub-atomic particle in the universe to a previous state? consider the energy requirements for this? A God like entity that created the universe might be capable of it, but no civilization within the universe ever will.

>forward time travel should be doable

how? i am just looking for an outline.

1 - Is your time travel machine accelerating the entire universe to the future?

2 - are you creating a parallel universe?

3 - Are you assuming that the future already exists and you are opening a rift?

I don't doubt that. lets say physics allows you to do it.

Now how are you going to engineer such a device? Have you considered the energy requirements of such a device?

The challenge is not physics, its the engineering

Something that uses wormholes, which you can adjust the size to take you to different points in time. It would probably need to be contained in a spaceship though because if it was on Earth then you would end up in space since Earth's position was in a different place at the time you traveled to.

Fuck you , you fucking faggot

We're also talking about tranfering something specific. So how would that work? Moving all that matter, but not effecting the person/object traveling. How would you target the thing to be uneffected and effected?

so
1 - you are creating an artificial wormhole.

2 - linking it to a previous point in time... how do you link the wormhole from this point to a specific point in time you are trying to travel to

3 - keeping it stable so a living being can travel to the other side

Consider the energy required to do all that? how many stars would you need to burn for this. Do you have enough stars in the galaxy to do this?

Well if time travel ever gets developed at ANY point in the future, all it would take is for someone to travel to a point within our lifetimes for it to be possible within our lifetimes.

Also, we are all technically moving forward in time at a constant rate. So yes.

Time travel has already been invented but when people or things go back or forward in time, they just end up in the vacuum of space. Our planet is spinning extremely fast around a star which is whirling extremely fast in a galaxy that is hurtling extremely fast through space. Even a second out of this plane in order to move through spacetime and you would be thousands if not millions of miles away from earth.

jesus christ what a retarded opinion

1. don't tell me what the fuck I can say, bitch nerd.
2. why the fuck do you sci fi cum guzzlers assume that it will ever be possible?
maybe focus on real life shit, rather than fantasy

How so?

every memory created by our brain will be recorded and we will be able to re-run them, in essence reliving the past, and i would consider this time travel

Spacetime you dumbass, they go hand in hand. Even if you’re sitting still you are not in the same location you were milliseconds ago. Yesterday you were thousands and thousands of miles away from where you are now.

Not OP. But a very good point to make.
