best example of performance oversupply yet, bet they still wish they hadn't released it.

another example. 8 years old, started struggling with new games, completely perfect in other tasks
Is this the M1911 of CPUs?

This!
Looks like a CPU. I guess those will never be obsolete now. Lots of people use them. Myself included. Cheers. Let me know if you need anything else. I'll be in my study.
I kept my 3570k til last year. Found some great deals to build a new PC with a 10400f, reusing my 1070 and putting a 970 in my old build, which I found for $50.
Selling my old PC at the ridiculous prices that were normal at the time made my upgrade cost just around $100 in the end.

Why would I miss it if I could still use it?
I just upgraded my AMD FX-8350 8-core processor to a Haswell E3 1231 v3. 106.7 bclk and modded bios for all core max turbo
It's only about 25% slower than my ryzen 3000
I wish mine never died =(
Actually, maybe it still works. It may have been my motherboard that died. One of these days I'll buy a lga1155 motherboard to see if it still works.
I use a i5-4690k for my console because smt is for nerds
3570k user here
I still haven't updated. New games mostly suck and the ones I do play run over 100 fps so I'm still all happy.
Based. Only reason I upgrade was cause I could do it almost for free with the sale of my old PC, but the 3570k is still fine for every game that's worth playing. Last thing I played on it was Sekiro and it ran fine at 60fps locked.
