The US Government is not some GoFundMe project. Every single one of us pays for something in this country we will never ever use ourselves.

Schooled people without debt are great for a country and attractive to people from other countries to come study and live there. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

For most people I know, $10,000 is a drop in the bucket of their student debt. It gets them one year closer, out of 20, to being debt free.

If they REALLY wanted to help students with heavy debt, they'd let that debt be discharged in a bankruptcy, like any other debt.

My brother got a four year degree in Psychology at OSU, when he was fresh out of the Army. The Army even helped pay for it. He was 52 when he paid it off, and a Maintenance man at Sears. His degree was worth exactly NOTHING.

Also, getting an education really can't be equated to buying a new car; they're completely different, and if you can't see the difference on your own then maybe you should've gotten a college degree
