more likely she's bored and wants to know she can still have you if she wants you. an ex who had a bf kept doing this to me for more than a year, never wanting to meet up but texting me every few days or weeks to chat about stupid shit. we weren't friends before we were together so it's not like we had a relationship to maintain.
then i got a gf and the ex started getting more clingy and texting more often, asking if i missed "us" and shit. when i said i was happy with the way things were she told me it "wasn't appropriate" for us to talk while i had a gf and blocked me.

it might be different for you but i tell all my friends not to trust their ex's. if they wanted to be with you they would be, otherwise they're wasting your time for their own amusement.
