its not wrong, but the threat is specfically magas in offices/positions that can fuck with election shit.
Already in several red states, they have laws or are about to pass laws that give the legislature the authority to toss out results and declare their own winner if they think there is fuckery.
And this case is expected to be upheld by the supreme court 6-3.
So say a dem wins. The legislature will cite pretend fraud, say what amounts to "welp who can know but since the results are fucked we have to decide" then they will pretend to give it serious thought then award the electors to the republican.
One part is incompetent, yes. But the other party has abandoned all pretenses of supporting democracy and is very openly attempting to subvert it. if christian nationalism doesn't scare you now because you dont care about abortion, be prepared for virginity checks, genital inspection to make sure a female athlete is not a tranny, and period monitoring. And pregnant women not able to travel. if that sounds ridiculous, it should, and all of those things are proposals that are surprisingly not shot the fuck down because these people are very emboldened and think they can win.

"Protests" that actually cost the liveluhood of thousands because insurance companies refuse to pay out until the state takes responsibility for damages. Your "planned insurrection" resulted in paltry sums of damage, no loss in livelihood (except for the retards involved) and a single (not tens or hundreds) death that can positively be attributed to said "insurrection".
