This is a hospital. Hospitals cost money to run. Hospitals provide a service to those in need. They charge money for said service to continue to run.
There is no such thing as a free service. Hospitals needs to make money to stay in business. Therefore they need to charge patients for using their care.
So shut the fuck up with the "healthcare should be free" argument because it is bullshit. They must get paid if you want a service. If you can't pay for the service, then fuck off. You dont get handouts simply for being alive
