JPG and PNG were fine as image formats. Now everything is "WEBP" this and "WEBP" that to the point where I need to fucking open up my fucking snipping tool in order to save it as an actual image file type like PNG or JPG.

I just convert them by changing their filename and saving, but it is very annoying.
Side note: I wish APNG [Animated Portable Network Graphics] was allowed on Any Forums. it's superior to .gig and webm in terms of quality.

I use PaintDotNet [Free Photo Editor that has mods you can download/add-on] to open the webp and save it.
I usually always have PDN open, so it's easy, but I should not have to open it in PDN and re-save it.

Yeah, well PDN is like ms paint but more mdular and with more tools you can download and install
If you can use ms paint you can use PaintDotNet too

I right click, take screenshot, and hover over the image to save on it.
If that doesn't work I screenshot the whole screen and crop it in gimp.

WEBP is already a lossy image converted from jpgs. And you convert back to jpg again.
