1. Get a solid skill and make real money. Seeing young people playacting as adults by trying to be the best at their McJob is pathetic. A career transition into an actual skill (electrician, programming, auto mechanic, plumber, HVAC) is what separates the men from the boys.

2. Diet and exercise. Everyone thinks they "eat pretty clean." But until you track your macros and actually lift / do cardio consistently as part of a regimen, you don't realize what a fat slob you are. Health is wealth.

3. You can still get a disease with a condom on.

4. You'll fall in love more than one time in your life.

5. Learn how to fight. Boxing / muay thai / something.

6. Get a house to build equity ASAP

7. Learn that you are not a victim.

I agree. Strong work ethic is good, be it for a job or study or apply it to your everyday life when you have to do the dishes or whatever, work before play and when you got your shit together don't think that gives you room to 'reward' yourself with drugs or alcohol.. that's what I learned from lots of fucking up though. Good sleeping rhythm and keep yourself busy, when people get bored they start making bad choices..

Don’t have kids too late. I loved being a young dad. I’m 38 and most of my kids parents are 5-10 years older than I am. They can’t engage in the activities I can with my kids. They’re also waaaay out of touch and try to hard to relate to their kids.

Invest small amounts of money. Let’s your investments grow. Buy land, if taxes are cheap. Don’t buy brand new cars with crazy monthly payments. It’s a waste. You could be buying stocks with dividends or investing in proportions.

Understand it’s ok to make mistakes AND admit to the mistakes. Deflective excuses are made by people with poor character.
