Alot of the stories from bash.org were around that time when Any Forums was the deep underbelly of the internet, but not quite the asshole it is now.
It was an easier, slower time. Any Forums was fast, there was still random porn but it wasnt as 99% filled with porn like it is now. Id say that was probably because most people were more reserved and there wasnt as much of it on the internet.
However when the memes came in with courage dog and philosoraptor thats things got really exciting and funny for awhile, and then suddenly it became mainstream and the normies fucked it up as they allways do.
Gaming back then was really exciting, right around 2000 was a surge humanity may never see again with counterstrike, halflife mods, starcraft and warcraft 3 just to name a few, unreal tounament and quake definitely kept me glued to the seat for years. When halo came out it was like a dawn of a new time, and everyone on Any Forums was excited about it. Leeroy jenkins was probably the pinnacle of Any Forums.

Man I miss the raids. Between videogames and early streamers and porn streamers the raids were fucking hilarious. I remember we would also choose a random number on a random board (on Any Forums), then when the post hit everyone would go to the thread and agree with them or something stupid. It was funny, something this website has now replaced with poison.
