What if those monoliths are actually just very large naturally occurring crystalline structures? Like a giant pyrite crystal or something? Probably too big to be something like that, but hey, it's a giant rock in space so you never know.
Really though, skepticism aside, I do kind of think those monoliths are some kind of ancient alien structures, especially since we see them on multiple planets and moons in our solar system. Strange and eerie!

It's basically impossible to argue this. We'd have to rewrite everything we know about planetary formation to explain the oddities, and traditional science knows this. Thus they typically don't attempt to explain these things, throwing it into the "unknown" category.
The really interesting thing is that the Apollo astronauts reported seeing "campfires and bonfires" on the surface of the moon emanating light. There are even surviving recordings of them discussing this you can find online.
