Believing in objective reality is just as childish as believing in objective morality

Believing in objective reality is just as childish as believing in objective morality.

I was an atheist in my young years
Despite having seen and experienced some real shit
I think it might have been a coping mechanism so I didn't have to admit what I saw was real

>there are thousands of different religions and gods
>but nooooo MINE is the RIGHT one you Atheist incel chud!
Why is it that zealots can't defend their beliefs with facts and always resort to violence and childish name-calling? Is it because religion is inherently childish?

What makes you think I'm religious or believe in the God of the Bible? You're making a hell of a lot of assumptions there, mate.

So fly off a roof, faggot.

What makes you think there even is a roof to fly off of? Physical objects don't literally exist. The only thing that truly exists is mathematics. Physical reality is just our interpretation of mathematics.

I'm not a Christian. I believe in metaphysics.

why do you suddenly say mathematics has to be real? did we not learn mathematics through sensory input?

Cool. Jump then. It doesn't really exist.

No, we know mathematics through a priori deduction.

Eh. There’s clearly a world outside of ourselves.

Atheists are more likely to commit suicide.

Math doesn’t exist. We made it up because it’s a useful fiction for making predictions about the natural world.

I will, once I learn how to bend reality. My mind is still limited to the physical world ATM.

Pussed out, but whatever, lemme know how that goes.

a priori just means something which we take as true because we can't see it being any other way
if every other detail about our experience can be wrong or illusory, then don't try to tell me it's suddenly different when it comes to axioms

believing in objective reality is less childish than reading a book, that says some being gave you free will and didn't care about people enslaving each other and taking away said free will, and believing it gives a fuck about someone you care about dying.

No, you're wrong. Mathematics is the only thing that exists, and it's the only thing that can be truly known. All science is just a formalization of hindsight bias. It could be proven wrong at any moment due to factors we failed to control for.

I don't think you understand how axiomatic mathematics works.

spoken like a high school dropout

And? Who cares we all die anyway

I actually graduated from college.

using one statement and reason to derive a second statement
but if you are really being rigorous in your unbelief, you would question the original statement and your ability to reason

Then kill yourself, if you truly think it doesn't matter.

Cool, what you major in?

Information technology.

kek so bullshit

Mathematics doesn't state "P is true." so much as "If P then Q." These are things we can prove rigorously to be true regardless of our observations.

Why would I do that?

I probably have more useful skills than you.

Because life doesn't matter and we're all going to die anyway, like you said.

you really don't get it do you? why do you just magically believe that you have the ability to use reason? because you can see it leading to truth? but i thought our perceptions were illusions.

And? Just because it doesn’t matter doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy consciousness. I like various things about the world I find myself in and I intend to live it out until some random bullshit kills me.

Man your taking the whole “I think therefore I am” philosophy a bit too much

you're taking it an arbitrary distance
