Without looking at the catalog right now I can guess that there will be one or more socials threads, bbc threads, complaining about bbc threads, ylyl threads, probably with Facebook tier political jokes, some version of a secrets thread and some thread about how great/dumb the left/right is. Basically now it’s always the same shit whereas before there would be something new every day or week that would eventually be forgotten about for the next thing.

There was also more user participation, creation of oc, people going out to do funny shit and documenting it to make threads, geolocating photos, raids, shit like that

Somewhere along the way brones came and people understood that you can rile up a gigantic percentage of the people just by creating a secluded, highly idiosyncratic community within an already well established, already very idiosyncratic community. And even since then all there's been in Any Forums and most of the internet has been replications of that with different phenomena and kinks.

You see, they discovered Any Forums. This platform that lets you post anonymously is great for free speech, or so we thought. It was great at first but then they took notice when the platform became huge and they figured out how to game the system to spread their ideas while suppressing others.Now all they have to do is bump the blacked threads a few times to push threads with actual content into obscurity, thus further pushing their ideas while suppressing yours. Actual anons no longer make up the majority of the posts, it’s all sweatshops and “idea factories” churning out the next wave of societal regression. It doesn’t matter though, you won’t believe me and your little thread will be pushed into obscurity just like all the rest.

Twitter isn’t anonymous or mostly unmoderated so it can’t really compare. It also sucks for conversation. Imagine trying to have something like the card stand on twitter.
