I’m extremely curious as to what happened with Bob and his original family. Clearly he had a decent wife and managed to raise two successful kids (one who apparently used to work in a high-tier government/scientific position). Clearly this wasn’t enough for Bob or internal strife led him to drink more and get suckered in by psycho Barb who was a gold-digger.
Chris-Chan is an excellent story, not just because of Chris, but because of all the side stories not being told. The whole thing is very American
