It's actually a lot worse than most types of FGM. Like the one where they close up the vagina or pin prick it are totally reversible/inconsequential. Removal of the clit and hood entirely is more like MGM considering the clit is the most sensitive part of female anatomy. The foreskin is the most sensitive part of male anatomy and the glans penis is not as sensitive as the glans clitoris.
